I've been thinking that I've been paying too much for my DSL service. Today, I finally decided to investigate and see if I could get a better deal. I discovered that without switching vendors I could get service that's literally twice as fast as what I currently get for one penny more a month. It's an introductory price, but one that's valid for two years and doesn't require any contract or commitment longer than month-to-month.
So, yeah... there doesn't appear to be any downside. They'll flip a switch and I'll have faster internet at home.
I very much look forward to being able to watch video clips of spaghetti-eating cats without the need for re-buffering.
- No-brainer of the day

I got some crap in the mail from AT&T and discovered that I could get twice as much bandwidth for half the price I was currently paying. Don't ask me how they decide these things, but who am I to argue with more speed at less cost? I figured there was a catch, but there wasn't. I'm still slightly mystified by it.
