I haven't posted anything in a while. I'm still waiting for a few Pajama Game reviews, even though I know nobody really cares about them.

The show is going really well, although tickets sales have been disappointing. Sunday matinees have been well sold, but the other evening shows... not so much. But the audience reaction has been uniformly excellent. People are really enjoying the show. I'm hoping that we'll start seeing the result of good word of mouth with weekend number three (which starts tonight). If you're reading this and you're in the area and haven't seen it... well... get a ticket! Or two or three or more!

Last weekend I had almost my entire family in town to see the show (the only person missing was my brother-in-law). They were only here two days, but we made the most of them. On Saturday we went to the Ano Nuevo State Reserve to commune with nature and view the elephant seals (proof that God has a sense of humor). They weren't doing much of anything - it's their molting season, so they lie around on the beach all day. Sounds kinda nice, actually. It was a beautiful day. I posted some pictures on Facebook, but I'll put a few of them here as well.

Views like this are one of the reasons I never want to leave Northern California.

And this one.

My sister and her kids, looking wind-blown.

I don't know that there's a funnier-looking animal anywhere.

Seriously.

Is this the first time you've seen your sister since she moved?

No, she was in the US last summer too. Their visas require them to leave the country twice a year, and one of those trips needs to be back to the US to get the visas renewed. So as long as they're on their current type of visa (which might change, if they get their way) I'll be able to see them in the US once a year.

Wow, that's pretty stiff. With mine, I just have to pay a yearly fee and I get one airmile per dollar charged!

My husband took some pictures of these bizarre creatures recently as well and yes, God has a sense of humor. Definitely (I have a few other instances too, but not regarding animals.)

What fun to have your family at your show! I can't remember the last time mine could all make it to anything. Of course several were at our daughter's wedding and then I went and blew it. Sigh.

Hope the rest of the run goes well, and I'll look forward to Elixer! (I take it you don't do Onegin?)

No Onegin for me. They've been in rehearsals a few weeks already, which was far too much of an overlap with Pajama Game. I hope to make it to one of the performances (or dress previews if I can swing a ticket).

I'm planning to go to your show on Sunday matinee with Kenny! I'm very looking forward to it :)

Hooray! Can't wait to see you.

Ticket sales have been crap everywhere. Including "Drowsy Chaperone". This economy is killing people's interest in paying for theater tickets, especially when it is nice outside.
